Wedding Videography FAQ
1. Who will be our videographer? For the package you received, Zac (the owner of Wedding Videos Colorado) will be your videographer. He also runs an associate brand called Authentic Moments, but unless otherwise discussed, your package includes Zac personally filming your wedding.
2. What’s your videography style? “Documentary meets cinematic.” Zac captures natural, candid moments with professional cinematic polish. He works discreetly, often using multiple cameras and lenses to capture genuine emotion and storytelling.
3. How do you personalize the wedding video? Zac takes a collaborative approach. He wants to understand your vision and what matters most to you. He curates the footage to reflect your unique personalities, not just the event.
4. How long have you been doing this? Zac has filmed weddings for over 12 years and started working with cameras as a teenager. He brings experience, professionalism, and a continuously evolving creative approach.
5. What makes you different from other videographers? Clients say Zac’s videos are both emotional and rewatchable. Many watch them annually. He focuses on essence, not just style, and avoids unnecessary busywork or gimmicky pre-wedding questionnaires. He’s laid-back, efficient, and client-focused.
6. How do you work with photographers? Collaboratively. Zac shoots around the photographer’s schedule, never obstructs views, and captures additional cinematic angles while they pose you. He calls this approach “Candid Plus.”
7. What’s included in your editing process? You get two full rounds of revisions. This ensures you’re completely happy. You can even request changes years later, like removing someone from footage.
8. Can we choose the music? Yes, if you’d like. Most clients prefer Zac to choose music initially, and then give feedback during revisions. This reduces stress while ensuring you’re happy with the vibe.
9. How long does it take to get our video? Typically about six weeks for the first draft, depending on the time of year and how quickly clients respond with feedback.
10. Do you keep backups? Yes. Zac has footage dating back over 10 years and currently stores more than 300TB. He retains all raw files unless storage becomes unsustainable, in which case he’ll notify clients before deletion.
11. How is audio handled? Zac records all audio with multiple sources (lavalier mics, field recorders, etc.) to ensure no lost moments. He’s meticulous about capturing clean ceremony and reception sound.
12. How do your packages work? Packages are based on hourly coverage and deliverables (highlight video, full ceremony, full reception, etc.). You can customize by adding hours or extra videos like “chapters.”
13. What’s the difference between highlights, teaser, and chapter videos?
- Teaser: 1-minute sneak peek, great for sharing
- Highlight: 5–10 minute emotional summary set to music

Film: 20–30 minute extended version of the highlight, featuring more full moments and storytelling depth
- Chapters: Full-length, multi-camera edits of ceremony and reception, broken into labeled chapters (toasts, dances, etc.)
14. Can we add more coverage later? Yes. Coverage and add-ons are customizable. Zac often consults on your timeline closer to the wedding to help you decide if you’ll need extra hours.
15. Do you offer drone footage? Yes! Weather and venue permitting, drone footage is included for exterior shots. Zac also sometimes offers fun ideas like drone family group photos. Indoor drone shots may be available depending on rules and safety.
16. Can you live-stream our wedding? Live streaming is available for an additional cost. However, he provides a free option (like setting up FaceTime or YouTube) for guests who can’t attend. He also offers rush-edited ceremony videos if needed.
17. How do you plan with us before the big day? Zac prefers a relaxed, personal planning session 1–2 months before the wedding to understand your vibe, not just logistics. It’s more of a “how are you feeling?” chat than a strict rundown.
18. What if you’re unavailable due to an emergency? Zac has a team of trusted lead videographers as backup. In the rare event he can’t film, he will personally assign a highly qualified replacement and still handle editing.
19. Do you work well with other vendors like DJs and planners? Yes. Zac collaborates well with vendors and has experience with many top names. He prioritizes team communication and guest experience.
20. Are there any trends or red flags you avoid? Yes. Zac avoids current fads like overly blurry photos or overproduced gimmicks. He aims for timeless films you’ll love now and in 20 years.
21. What do your clients say about working with you? That he’s easygoing, professional, and makes people feel comfortable. He’s known for staying calm under pressure and creating a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
22. Do we need to come up with a shot list? No, unless you want to. Zac knows how to get what matters without a long list. He prefers clients just share their vision and vibe, and he handles the rest.
23. Can we decide on add-ons like chapters later? Absolutely. You can wait until you see your highlight and decide if you want the full-length videos afterward.
24. What’s your vibe like on the wedding day? Professional, calm, efficient, and fun. Zac works in the background but is there when needed. His presence enhances the day without disrupting it.
